This is to announce that the All-Russian Union of Patients will hold the 4th All-Russian Congress of Patients in Moscow.

The Congress aims at developing and translating mechanisms for the Government and NGOs to cooperate in order to improve the quality of life of Russian citizens.

 

 In the course of the Programme, relevant topics will be discussed with regard to health management by the Government and nongovernmental organisations:

·   issues in the current healthcare development;

·   arranging for the Civilian Control system in the healthcare, surveillance over that laws in force and healthcare decisions are carried out;

·   current issues in the pharmaceutical provision of the country;

·   cooperation between the medical profession and patients community: facts and perspectives.

On 25 November, the Plenary Session will open the Congress, within which the 4th All-Russian Congress of Patients press-briefing with Russian Health Minister Veronika Skvortsova will be conducted.

On 26 November, the 4th All-Russian Congress of Patients Round Table on arranging for the Civilian Control system in the healthcare will take place with the participation of representatives of the Russian Health Ministry, Public Chamber, as well as representatives of the medical profession and patients community.

Also, within the frames of the Congress, there will be debates with the State Parliament Deputies, representatives of the Russian Ministry for Economic Development, Ministry of Finance, Federal Antimonopoly Service, Federal Service on Surveillance in Healthcare and Social Development and other governmental and nongovernmental structures in the panel.
